    Attention for anyone wish to try the swap trick!!!

    The .TIF Exploit is out now(Link for about .TIF Exploit), it maybe use on swap PS2 game. So just let someone work out first, than u may aviod to open ur PS3.

    But for somebody will like to mod ur PS3 by self, than u can look the trick has been done by pizzag,tsrps3,SupraGaz,ChokeDYou.

    If u interest 1 switch mod go for pizzag,tsrps3,SupraGaz, for 3swich mod(with original function mod) ChokeDYou, and 2switch mod(3switch update mod) go for me. Bottom of this PAGE

    On some forum: tried using ps2 games.
    it still holds up the game loading but when u swap to a back-up disc and remove memory card u just get the error message!

    will keep tryin tho! got another idea up my sleave!!!!!
    So you still cant run ps2 backups without opening your system.

    Maybe you can swap blu-ray with blu ray disc using the exploit + swap switch (I dont have blu-ray backups so I cant try it.

    I heard it can only bypass firmware check.. whatever good that does.
    Tiff + swapswitch + ps3 backup = jackpot?

    FYI - i was able to create a bootable ps2 dvd and run homebrew on ps3,
    although SMS(ps2 media player just locks up).

    TIF exploit is bs. it is nothing but bunch of random codes in the file. it does lock up the system but nothing more. swap switch is way to go.

    That's why i say the Tiff exploit "it maybe use on swap PS2 game".

    And I has try out as well, Tiff won't let me swap PS2 backup.
    So I just waiting some expert exploit more. And I just keep using my 2switch mod to play backup.

    OK, I done my 2 switch trick with PS3 USB FAN.

    Thanks to
    the idea creator pizzag,
    the guy non-stop look forward tsrps3,
    tutorial of open up ps3 in here and ps3-hacks forums SupraGaz,
    my 3switch plan creator and Intercooler switch idea ChokeDYou,
    voltage divider idea vidar85

    Here is the detail,

    I post before the 3 switch connection drawing on PAGE5, and I was found a type of switch is able control up to 4 pole together in 1 switch. So I update my 3switch to 2switch, 1 of the switch control both sensor disc on-off and original fuction-manual. Another 1 control disc load-in ann load-out.

    And here is connection drawing
    [IMG]

    Actually I have use the voltage divider on my trick, but I dont know why the disc wont let me load-in and out. So I back on 3V battery, but I have all detail about voltage divider. Anyone interest go bottom have a look.

    First change the original motor wire
    [IMG]

    I pull out the original motor wire to bottom of BR-Drive board and fixed the wire
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Prepair both of the switch and battery
    [IMG]

    Connect the disc sensor control wire
    [IMG]

    And make connection to switch(in final trick I dont use voltage divider)
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Put switch and battery in PS3 USB Fan(take out 2 fan first, if use voltage divider just need take out 1 fan)
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Done
    [IMG]
    [IMG]
    [IMG]
    *finger print too many on PS3! <- CSI too much

    Voltage divider
    But anyway I post the voltage divider drawing for let u guy find out the problem.

    Haha that's pretty awesome. So far the best concept based on the switch mod, kudos man! PS3 looks very sexy with this fan too ;)
    Sorry no idea about the voltage modifier though.

    @alien1201:

    I'm not too sure about it, but it seems that your voltage divider is a little bit wrong:

    [IMG]

    As you can see U = 10 Volt!

    U2 = U * ( R1 / ( R1 + R2) )
    U2 = 10 * 0.6
    U2 = 6

    Can't you switch the -5V with the ground?

    Arbaal, as your calculation why drawing there is 5V but you put 10V on calculation?
    If calculation is U=5V the U2 will be ,

    U2 = U*[R2/(R1+R2)]
    U2 = 5*[330/(220+330)]
    U2 = 3

    If you take U2 as output the fomula will be U2 = U*[R2/(R1+R2)], not U2 = U*[R1/(R1+R2)].

    Anyway that is all by calculate, I has use multimeter to test out the voltage divider out put is 3V, BUT when I test the voltage divider 3V output by opposite the multimeter give me not -3V(normaly it was) its show me 0V, can somebody tell me why.

    My Voltage Divider formula come from HERE

    And is that the -5V I need to connect to ground line?

    Oh, thats a typo. I'm sorry. But my calculation is still right.

    That easy. I will quote Wikipedia for this:

    We have two potentials, a +5V potential and a -5V potential. The difference between the two potentals is 10V!

    I think it should be -5V. But probably it is vice-versa.

    jus wana let u peeps kno dat ive also dun dis mod, but for the 3v power i used one of them small circle batteries(cells). its a 3v thin(similar to a coin size) car alarm battery. took almost no space and working nicely. for connection, i used a PCB battery holder.

    K, hope it gives aleast 1 person some help.

    lastly big up 2 all de guys- pizzag,tsrps3,SupraGaz,ChokeDYou.

    Nice MOD alien1201 and thanks for the props on my idea for the fan.
    I sold/traded my modded PS3 to a friend for a 1.32 FW NTSC and $100 dollars so I made out good, but now I'm kinda wondering what I'm going to do to this PS3 .... he he he.
    Whatever I do decide to do, I'll definitely let you guys know what I'm into because I'm always going to be a swapping fool. :)

    No, right now you only can play ps2 and ps1 backups. If you really want to install this mod I recomend you to read all 17 pages.
