PS3 Themes

You don't need to make your own xml, just use the sample.xml provided (just edit the name and the author fields in the xml file with a text editor). Now just replace the png files in the sample/01 folder with your own versions and then drag and drop the xml file onto ps3tcompiler.exe to make the theme.

 

The first couple themes I did, I used the Icon in the sample and edited them using Paint Shop Pro 12. On the others ones, I either make the icon myself or I have found thousands of Icons from every theme,character,etc,etc... Just make sure you replace the sample Icons with the exact same name...

 

Someone said they wanted a Windows XP/Vista Theme, so I'm working on that right now! I've actually gotten all the images that I need, and I'm now resizing everything! It should be done Later Today! I am beat, and I'm going to bed...

 

There is already one made and posted because thats what I have on my ps3 right now.

 

If anyone would like to post their themes and show it off on my site, feel free to at http://www.freewebs.com/ps3themes/ All you have to do is post it in the forums and I will accept it an post it on my site. Make sure you have a picture of the theme. If you don't I will try my best to get a pic in, but please try to take it yourself.

 

Ok I updated my Cool Theme by making the sample pic on ps3 different so you can tell which theme it is because before I had the default sample pic but now I hae my own pic, so here is the updated link:

nice themes i have one question how do you make the icons cuz if you need some kind of special thing i'm not sire I know how to change the icon's looks

 

Can sum1 upload the simpsons theme sumwhere else as it wont let me download from tht website

 

Use something like Photoshop or something as simple as MS Paint. It's not as easy as you think it is, trust me. But if you want to download a photo editor, then I suggest downloading a trial of Photoshop CS3 or PaintShop Pro.

If your looking for Icons.. I have found a pack of 8000+... I also found several packs of a few thousand.. The pack that I have with 8000+ have some sweet ass icons.. Anyway if you want to make your own icons or edit the originals, I found that Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo is one if the best software to do it with.. I am working on an Alienware(?) right now. Also for those ladies or guys that are a little on the lady side, Im going to start working on a Fairy Theme... Dont laugh my girl wants me to make it for her profile...

Im working on a REAL Vista theme which will very soon be posted here, and on my site, so PLEASE stay updated here and on my site because it will be posted in about 15-45 minutes!

 

how do i acctually make some themes im stuck...

 

Ok start by downloading the PS3 Theme Maker mentioned in the beggining of this thread. Then edit the icons in the sample folder with an editing program of some sort. Then when your done editing the pics, open CMD and use the command line (type):

cd\p3tcompiler_v101 (HIT ENTER)
p3tcompiler .\sample\01\sample.xml

The CMD thing will do its work and when its finished take the sample.p3t and put it on a pen drive. Make two folders PS3 and THEME. (Put THEME inside the PS3 folder). Then drag the sample.p3t into the THEME folder, plug it in PS3, go to theme settings hit install, and VOILA!

Download the trial of photoshop or paintshop pro somewhere or find a freeware program.
