He Guys I can't seem to find a thread in regards to setting up a Pc to a Ps3 via ethernet cable on windows 7. My Pc when trying to setup recconises that the cable is plugged in but thats about it. Anyone got any tutorials as I struggle with networks.
It is just like any other kind of networking...you can use the same methods for connecting as you would with PC to PC. If you need to figure out how to do the settings on the PS3, there are videos for it on youtube...try a search for "ps3 lan setup". BTW...you will have better search results if you use LAN instead of ethernet...the term "ethernet" is loosing popularity due to being too long, and a bit of ambiguity relating to the fact that the term goes back so far and covers so many network types.
Still no go.... I can get the ps3 to find network but not the internet. and when I search the computer for the ps3 no luck. Filezilla wont recognise the ps3.. media server doesnt work.. When I setup my wireless network at home I reccon it took 3 days of studdy to figure out that the netgear wireless card was not signed by microsoft. I dont understand networks. But this is a LAN or ethernet network. And Ive set a routers and a dlink modem on it before. BUT after all this PS# is still very new to me.
Tried my wifes net book and it works perfectly tried new setting an pc NO GO it has now become a networking issue in windows 7 any tips coz I cant put manually ip sbmask anything into pc network, just tells me to install and enable network card now
Problem solved FILEZILLA sucks arse keeps dropping out the blackbox now using Flashfxp and working great and smooth
