PS3 + TV + PC Speakers?

    is it possible to connect
    a PS3 to a TV using hdmi cables
    and also connecting a PC 5.1
    audio system?

    the audio system is a creative inspire 5300 if that helps.

    Yes, you just need a converter like this:

    which will plug into your sound card on your PC, and then play the sound through your PC speakers.

    Im not using a pc at all. I just have the pc speaker system.

    And how would the system have bass is I use that way to hook them up?.

    Unfortunately no. That particular audio system doesnt have any 5.1 Optical audio input, the PS3 doesnt do 5.1/7.1 through analog. The best you could do is use the standard composite (Yellow/White/Red) cable to output 2 channel sound, using one of the adapters ibizagti linked to to connect it to the Green (front) input. I dont believe that is how he was meaning to hook it up but that would work, it would only be 2 channel though.

    I use that connection on my system (although mine are only 2.1 speakers) and the bass works fine.
