A nice touch. Microsoft is working to get all their xbox titles working on the 360, and the Wii is also backwards compatible.

it was mostly becaus the console was unknown and most ppl interested in a system had a ps2 or trusted it more.

well i can tell ut2007 is going to kick ass. i know because ive played the series. same with mgs4.

both versions using either composite or hdmi will do 1080p in both games and movies up untill ICT is enacted forcing and hi-def material from bluray and hd-dvd to downscale terribly on any connection other that hdmi for anti-piracy reasons. even then games will still be 1080p. ICT issnt expected till 2010-2012 anyway.

ive only seen it being played in e3 clips and other demos. it looks like the gameplay i know
and love so i know i'll like it. telling me i wont is like telling me a new car wont have an

Most of the games you saw at e3 were running at 720p. Furthermore, developers have already voiced concerns of running 1080p games on the ps3 without having some sort of framerate problems.

 

my fx5200 can do 1280x1024 niceley, and a midle slightly up and do that one in the 2000's with ease. so why wouldnt the ps3, an equivelent to a 7900, not be able to pull off 19??x1080? nvidia is reliable, im sure they thought it thru if there would be something different to lag it.

 

stop talking about blue-ray. That's the stuppidest reason to buy a ps3. It doesn't matter what kind of drive the system has as long as the games run. I'd much rather pay attention to graphics, online gaming, customization Games (HALO 3); man, i could go on and on. And anyway, the ps3 is way to expensive for what it's worth.
XBOX 360 is better by far.

 

Oh yeah, why do you people continue to say ps3 has BETTER games. The games aren't BETTER. playstation usually has more titles. just because you have MORE games doesn't mean they're BETTER. And who even cares if it has MORE games, you're not going to buy every game that's released (unless you're some rich freak with no life).

ps3 doesn't have any good games that the xbox 360 doesn't.
Might I add, HALO 3 is supposedly coming out sometime in 2007.

And yeah, the PS3 has a couple of decent looking titles that the 360 doesn't MGS4, GT: Visions and UT2007

 

all i know is that i totally agree with dr.cool he obviously has great wisdom and we should all listen and agree with him. he is just so smart dr.cool rules and so does mgs4!

 

what are you talking about. ps3 sucks and xbox 360 is way better.
all those titles you mentioned don't matter when you have halo 3. and anyway xbox 360 has many more options than a ps3. the ps3 will probably be screwed up right when it's released and so the 360 will have even more of a head start.

 

poissen all of us have agreed that halo is overrated. i mean it does not have that good of a story unlike mgs4 and ff, but in my opinion i don't really like alot of fps, and from what i have played halo is just a typical game.

you're wrong. the only reason the 360 isn't doing well in japan is because those people don't know what's good and sony is much more japan focused. if it was sent to the entire world you'd see who would win and it'd be the xbox 360.

if you can afford a ps3 then you can definitley affor to pay 50 bucks a YEAR for online servece. playstation has sucky online service.
the service for the ps2 only allowed only four people to play in one game.how gay is that. and you coulnd't even create a game like you can on the 360.

PLUS the ps3 copied everthing about the 360 and they still can't get it to work properly befor the release. they copied the removable hard drive, the HD graphics, the camera (may come out for ps3). too bad they can't release halo3 haha. it belongs to microsoft and there not stupid enough to allow ps3 to sell this game. Sony WAS stupid enough to allow microsoft to sell their best game: GTA.

before I go, the ps3 has the ugliest looking controllers I've ever seen in my life. they're way to big and they're almost as dumb as the nintendo wii's controller.

Sony already have a camera, it's called the eyetoy.
All Xbox games will NOT be BC.
And the only problem with the PS3 controller is the lack of Dual Shock.
The games will probably be good on both consoles, covering all genre's.
