PS3 Vs. XBOX 360

True you want to have a friendly arguement but it should be based on facts and real things. Not just saying a stupid opinion that isn't supported. Just my opinion. It is fun though to have stupid arguments here and there though so you are right in a sense.

I love this post though. You get some people who are real fanboys for one particular console and they read something and just qoute it as fact. Personally I'm impressed with the game footage from XB360. PGR3 looks pretty cool and I really can't wait to play Kameo, amazing graphics. And if PS3 is more powerful than 360 then games should look incredible. I haven't seen anything from PS3 yet that I think is actual in game footage. So my judgement will wait on that one. I too prefer to have a polite conversation with someone not just flame people for no apparent reason. Peace maaan! P

 

i think the xbox is better then the ps2 i have a ps2 but the games r crap and xbox has the halo series that i love. i would of got the ps3 but its crap because of the controller and because the games r not that good i just think that xbox is better then the playstation full stop. the spec for the ps3 does not scare me because sony always say tat the playstation is better then it is i went onto ign and microsoft soes tat the xbox 360 is a better console and plus sonys online play was crap and xbox live was amazing halo 2 80,000 players online holy shit tat is alot of people. i am gettin a xbox 360 because my friends r gettin it and because it has better games and xbox live. I was talking to my friends and they said tat playstation has way better games lol. i said like wat killzone lol halo 2 for xbox kicks tat games arse. metal gear solid a bit to crap for my liking. i dont play on my ps2 anymore i play on my pc wit halo and call of duty deluxe edtion and unreal i think i will play my pc intill xbox 360 comes out on november 29th 2005.

 

Most console manufacturers like to send out specs that are a little eager than the final product. This has always been the case as far as I can remember, even back in the days when the megadrive (or genesis for you US folks) was first released. I think most people nowadays can see through the bull. Although judging from this site maybe not. But then I was the same whan I was a lot younger, it's all part of the fun I guess. Having seen what Xbox360 can do I was very impressed. No. Actually I was pretty amazed. Technically the original Xbox is better than PS2, purely from a hardware point of view. A lot of people dislike the Xbox as it is made by Microsoft. But this is what makes it great, they have a great understanding of how to create a huge network of online games and also a good dashboard (OS). The Xbox was also the first console to offer gamers a proper online gaming experience (away from the PC market) and have HD as standard. Sony's effort at both was just not as good. But I also have a lot of respect for Sony. They entered the market with Ps1 as total newcomer (apart from the failed project to create a CD drive for the SNES with Nintnedo, which was in fact was the original concept for PSX). They fought the big guys and won. You got to give them respect for that. I don't really know what specs we can expect to see in PS3 as it's all still conjecture. But I believe that Sony learnt alot from the mistakes made on PS2. While I like PS2, the 'emotion engine' was way over hyped and just did not deliver Sony's vision of a next gen platform. In my view Microsoft won that round as it came in to the game so late and still has amazing support and a huge user base. Maybe not as many as PS2 but they are still 'man of the match' for me. Now the shoe is on the other foot, with Microsoft bringing out the next gen machine first followed by Sony, of course let's not rule out Nintendo just yet. No doubt Sony will be watching and waiting to see what happens. And of course they will buy a few XB360 units and reverse engineer them to see what they can learn. It's all exciting!

This is more or less directed at faggot14, the top among all the xbox idiot fanboys.

In the scientific, computer engineering, and CSIS, world there is no suppport for the Xbox 360's hardware being choice.

PS3 is hands down, fantastically better. Stupid &^$#s, go to a state university for a degree in this industry, then talk.

 

So Reasons? are you not just a PS3 fanboy then?! Me, I just love good games whatever platform they are on. If anyone wants to read those links....be prepared they are booooring! Unless of course you find this stuff interesting like I do. When can we see some in game PS3 footage rather than all this pre-rendered junk they keep spewing out.

 

I like xbox 360 more because it suits me better and the games are perfect for my tastes. I do admit though that Ps3 does seem more power but Im still sticking with xbox 360.

i like the XB360 mainly because u can change it to ur tastes so easily and i find that the gaming experince for the xbox is a lot better then the ps2.

Yea I like the Xbox, you can change dashbaord skins and everythings, install os...those are the things that the ps2 lacks...

 

There is one reason why the PS3 is better or this one feature is better...Playing online, i think it will probably be free, unlike the x360 you need to pay for xbox live.

As long as you can see, admit, whatever you have to do, that the PS3 is the stronger hardware. As for the other reasons you like Xbox, go for it, that's good. Your only a fanboy when you argue a point that can/has been proved wrong.

I prefer the PS3 because of it's power. Not only that, but I can't wait to experiment with programming on the Cell and RSX using the linux that Kutaragi promised.

It'll be a whole new open source OS world, with millions eagerly contributing and collaborating on amazing apps Microsoft will never have on the 360, unless they make them just the way they want and then you pay for them and can't change them.

The 360 is going to be locked up, the OS, the hardware, everything. I go with SOny because they are going open source. MS will kill the expandability of their system. Come on, Apple inspired hardware, and a windows OS. Windows and OSX are locked up, and Apple's hardware has always been the same. Steve Jobs won't even let you put windows on MAC hardware.

Open source will send the usability and features of an amazing machine through the roof. It'll have everything Linux has now, and more because of all the people who are more willing to help out on a project this big. Everything windows has will probally be illegally ported to it in no time. I can't wait to use Itunes on my PS3, LOL.

 

When you look at all the technical stuff like memory, processor, and stuff like that it looks more like a computer because... well it is. So when you look at it your getting the best high-end gaming computer that would normally cost $1500-2000 to something like $300 for the 360 and $500 for the PS3 so my point is whatever the price is I'd say its a good deal. Screw PC games the consoles are gonna kick some ass. Pardon my language.

 

$60 a year for xbox live doesn't sound so bad you get to download all sorts of great stuff and demos plus big games like halo and quake are gonna have sponsored gaming tournaments with cash prizes and if your not the greatest at shooters (like me) you can always watch for a good time so...not bad.

 

for the xbox 360 there will be two lives gold and silver. silver will be free but there will be some restrictons and gold u pay a little more but u get a lot more options.

 

Are you the type who will only play a video game online only on the weekend? Most of should plan on paying for gold. Who knows though, Sony could charge, and just isn't saying anything.

These systems are costing them money to sell, but they make it back fast and by the billions with the games.

 

There might be a problem with the PS3 that the PS2 (all vrsions had except v7)...its the laser...who knows sony might make their own laser and f*** everything up...they should work with like samsung or something so samsung will make a drive for them.

 

That was very irrelevant, only time will tell. So much is at stake it's unlikely.
