PS3 vs Xbox 360

Around 5 controllers for the PS2 have brokedown in my house, 3 of them original Dual Shock 2's. I find that the Dual Shock 2 is way weaker than the original(I still keep an old Dual Shock that works great).

The usual problem with them is the shoulder buttons getting stuck, and since we play a lot multiplayer, I cannot afford to have some broken controllers and some working fine, it's not fair.

Of course, many of the controllers broke at the hands of my younger brother who keeps bashing them to the ground when he loses. But many controllers of many consoles(Genesis,N64,PSX,Dreamcast)have gone trough his hands and I must say that the Dual Shock 2 has to be the most poorly built.

Good thing I'm making him replace every controller he breaks or it would be me the one who's broke. Anyway, I hope that the boomerang controller is built much better than the DS2, just in case.

 

i haven't broken any cotrollers, i don't throw mine arounf though either.

 

hell if you want after new years ill video tape the non working controls in action. but seriously i was just stating whats gone on with some i know.

HAHAHAH, those are one of the most biased websites of all. You will see gamespot saying opposite of that, you will see ign saying that. if you go to gamespot head to head ps3vs xbox360. it will say the ps3 is better. Soo boo hoo you newb.

yeah seriously. like over 2 months abo i realised how biased ign is toward the 360. hey anyone remember when ign was galled www.gamesages.com and they were primarily a cheat site?

 

Can everyone stop talking about broken controlers, its plain stupid. It all started when anubis ran out of ideas to slate off the xbox 360 so he thought he would bring that up.

Quality wise the 360 controler is built extreemly well (hense the large price tag). A good test I like to do is grip the controler firmly in your hands then twist your hands around. With all the past controlers I have had (including the xbox) they all make this creeky plastic sound but with the 360 controler this doesnt happen. You will also take note of the good quality plastic used, its very hard and has a smoothnes of quality but not to smooth as to provide some grip. What I also like is Microsoft didnt budget on the 360 guid button. As I have said before I thought it was going to be spay painted silver with black painted x. However its chrome plated and has a green translusent plastic x for the light to shine through.

The file is to big, i have slow basic lite speed rogers, slowest out of all. The download rate would take 3 hours.

 

d00dz i just saw the video of gt5 and it was like a wet dream it was so real. i was like "hmm they giving real car preview then the animated ones?" then i realized those were not real cars. rsx living to its name.

 

Ok Kookoo. Dont quite get it. It took 30 mins to download on my computer if you have broadband with a 1mb speed or above.

Anyway. You see one video of GT5 which looks good. You dont see a video of Gears of War but it doesnt matter who cares?

This is why you lot will never make the correct disisions. You have to look at everything to compare.

 

Zelda, my internet is only 128 kb /s. i said lowest speed. how do you not get suc a thing.

You make me laugh somtime Kookoo. Of course i do this. Remember I wanted to buy the PS3 once? Yeah that means I have watched MGS4, GT5 (ages ago. It was of someone that sneeked a camera into the showing), Killzone2 (although it isnt real time), Motor Storm, FInal Fantasy, I could go on but you get the point. I was very impressed by the graphics. Espesialy the Getaway demonstration. I used to live in London and those images they showed looked almost real, but this wasnt proof enough for me until I see someone play it as I remember them showing the Getaway on the PS2 ages ago and the graphic quality decreesed significantly when the final game came to PS2.

On the 360 side of things I have watched, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Dead Rising, War Devil, Too Human, Huxley, Morrowind and again I could go on but I think you get the point. Some of these are in game demonstrations and have equaled graphic quality to MGS4. Its not only this graphic quality but the gameplay too as well as atmoshpere, sound and story line. Add the internet capablities and you can see why my opinion switched to the 360. However until January my mind is not 100% certain of the 360.

thing is with GT5 even tho it looks amazing it most probably wont because remember GT4? i saw the first in gamne screenshots of tht n it looked wow, cant believe tht this can be done on a ps2! and then it was released and i bought it n graphics lowered n wernt as detailed.. same for getaway like zelda said..
as for 360, its the same way siometimes ent it? but i saw morrow wind and was blown away! looks lush..
dnt think much of nin rev at mo tho, cus if it was a metroid screenshot i saw, i dnt think its tht gd graphics.. but will make a proper comment wen mores been released n it..

I appriciate the support there [bold]eureka21[/bold] but I am not a fan boy. Like I said I was going to buy a PS3 until I read more into the 360. Both systems are very good. The reason why I am on here is to tell people how good I have found the 360 to be and the potentiol it holds. However some people are so narrow minded and stubern they will never know what I am talking about and miss out.[bold]eureka21[/bold] you have good points though when it comes to the 360 and its nice to have someone here who thinks 360 is a good console rather than PS3 is the best.

[bold]JuBei87[/bold] with out seeming like I am kissing a$$ here you are right when it comes to GT5. I just cant believe a word Sony says anymore becuase they have proven with both the PSX and PS2 how they decieve the public. Microsoft do the same but I have actualy seen thier games with awsome graphics being played. Sonys machine is very powerful but I am yet to be conviinced of its graphic capabilities and if its power is really a big difference between the 360 (which I strongly believe it isnt).

errrrm just a personal opinion i think PS3 will wbsolutely insinerate the 360 with its graphics, my cousin works at sony and every1 there has been told that 360is no match 4 it.
