my opnion is ps3 is a little better than 360 by graphics im not saying that 360 is bad but ps3 is slitly better as you can see when the xbox came out after ps2, xbox was better so mabe the samething might happen again with 360 and ps3

anyway.. i have been reading up about the revolution today and have tried to see sense of it.. the controller looks unusual and maybe quite gd, definately original.. has flaws and gd points so un made decision at the mo..
nintendo are saying its goin to be a relatively cheaper console compared to ps3 and 360, about $100-150 less.. but your goin to need to buy add on compartments for the controller, how many are there? isnt this gonna make it the same price as the other consoles?

Anyway to help out and give you a quick overview of all our opinions. We arnt fanboys and we like both systems. I prefer the 360 for reasons I have stated before and the rest of the people on this thread you can take a look on thier opinions.

Just one thing. Before desiding on the PS3 have you checkout everything on 360 and do you know everything on PS3?

 

you've got a good point zelda64 (a mans trash is anthors treasure) you guys its never perfect for everyone i like action games but mabe somebody else likes racing games and ps3 is better then 360 at one point and 360 is better than ps3 at anthor point i like both so should everyone but some people prefer one of them mabe for a game or alot of other reason

Thankyou [bold]liljohn[/bold] for the compliment. I personaly like the 360 more at the moment but this is not 100% as Sony havent revealed all for the PS3 yet. Most of us here have good opinions and can tell you loads of things to the advantages and disadvantages to both console's. [bold]Kookoo67[/bold] has good knowledge on the technical side of things and can tell you alot about the specs of both systems. [bold]JuBei87[/bold] has good views on both systems and is doing the right thing by not making a desision yet and waiting. [bold]eureka21[/bold] can give you good information on the 360.

As for myself I have checked out about every video from both systems and have read about 90% of the information on both consoles.I always keep up to date on the latest news from some really good websites that I can give you the address if you wish. Any questions you have just ask and hopefully one of us can help you out with a bit of an argument as well.lol

I have a 360, and the whole graphics going to be better then then 360, IF they are that is, they will only be better by a fraction, withc the human eye will not be able to notice.

 

Hey guys. Remember a while back I said that the bad start of the 360 in Japan was because none of the japanese had the games they wanted to buy from the system. I said it was a bad mistake for Microsoft to release it in Japan before Australia and shortages in US. I also gave quotes from a group who went around interviewing the Japanese consumers to which they replied that they wanted the games they liked out on the system before they bought it, this is why my view on things in Japan was that 360 will pick up in Japan and do very well (but most likely not aswell as the PS3 but it would do far better than the xbox and close the gap on Sony). Well I have some more evidence to why I think my predictions will come true. Here is a photo of a [bold]Dead or Alive[/bold] kiosk in Japan, as you can see (and from what was described) a very large croud gathered (and cued) to have a go on one of Japans anticipated games.





Also for those that are getting a 360, I thought you mite like to know that besides moding the 360 with its face plates you can also mod the controler with face plates as well. Here are two picture's of two (there are more designs and alot more to come) designs you can have for the controler.





In answer to your question anubis I havent got a 360 yet because I live in Australia. Instead I have bought a 360 VIP pack (only for Australians to soften the blow for the long wait). However this does not garantee I will be buying a 360, if Sony convince me that PS3 is the better choice in January then I will purchas the PS3. I will be buying both consoles eventualy but what ever console I buy first then my next console I wont be buying until 2 years down the line.

 

WATCHED SONYS PRESENTATION FROM E3 ALL THEY SHOW ARE NON GAMEPLAY SHOTS, WHY HAVENT THEY SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE PS3 IT SEEMS IT DOESNT EVEN EXIST, THERE IS NOTHING ON THE PLAYSTATION WEBSITE AT ALL. WHY DO YOU NEED THE CAPACITY OF A HARD DRIVE JUST FOR A GAME?. AT LEAST DVD'S ARE HERE ALREADY. THE 360 ATLEAST HAVE THE CHEAPER TO PRODUCE GAMES. BLUE RAY IS EXPENSIVE AND RARE.
I SEE SOMEONE WHOS FREID WORKS AT SONY SAID THAT THE PS3 IS GONNA WHIP THE 360, WELL ISNT THAT A SURPRISE, IT WOULDNT BE VERY GO IF AN EMPLYOYEE DIDNT THINK THAT THE COMPANY HE WORKS FOR PRODUCED RUBBISH PRODUCTS.
SONY SAY THAT THE PS3 IS THE ONLY ONE TO PRODUCE MOVIE LIKE GRAPHICS, CHECK OUT THE NEW NBA GAME ON THE 360 MOVIE GRAPHICS ARE ALREADY HERE.
SONY IS PROBABLY REWORKING THE FINAL RELEASE VERSION OF THE PS3 THATS WHY NO ONES HEARD ANYTHING

New newb. i am going to tell you that caps on is not allowed on ad, you can get bann.
fool, the blueray is not as big as all hardrives.
Games are goign to be alote bigger. Heck from snes to n64, the snes games wre like half a mb, n64 games were 20-40 mb, gc games 1-2 gb. ps2 and xbox games 2-4 gb. Each gen of consols need moe more space. If you do the math patterns, youll get arround on eblueray disk space needed.
The ps3\360 textures take up wa more space, anything you possably can think of, exp music, takes up way more space on theese disks. fool, ps3 got a huge advantage over there.

Zelda, mabey things will change in japan, but i think resident evil is comming out untill next year, arround ps3 time. Same with ff 12 or 13. Those controllers look nice tho. Those fans also could be there just to check the game aswell.

Capcom said they wanted to release Resident Evil on both systems at the same time. So it will most likely be a PS3 launch title. Also confirmed a PS3 launch title is Unreal Tournament 2007 which looks stunning. Both these games are for the 360 and PS3 and look amazing so cant wait for them to come out.

[bold]HOWJORD[/bold] I think most of what you say is correct which is why I am turned off from Sony at the time being. Sony dont show in game shots and give that false representation. Also this blue ray disc argument again. I cant remember anyone complaining about switching disc's over on Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid. Its the games that count and to prove this the perfect example is the PS1 and N64. With the N64 you didnt have to swith over cartidgs plus there was the added bonus of no loading time's. Where as with the PS1 you had these long loading times and switching over of disc's so if this was truely a problem then wouldnt the N64 come out on top in that generation?

yes, but you forgot about texture detailing. ps3 game developers have more flexablity to put [bold]way[/bold] more details in there games. Exp the multy console games.

 

Not if they are putting it on mutiple discs. Also one thing I forgot to add is those controler face plate's come with a chip inside which stores you Gamertag identity. Its a nice personal touch and is good if yo take your controler around your mates house.
