Okay so at first i wantd to get an Xbox 360 after playing one at my friends house. But soon after i played a PS3 and i loved it so much more, but at the time the price drop hadent taken place. I wanted and Xbox 360 so i figured i would get the Xbox 360 eleite(sp?) which came to $470. But recently the PS3's price droped to $500. So should i get a PS3 or an Xbox, both systems have games i really want comming out, the PS3 will have Metal gear solid 4, ratchet and clank 5, Assasin's creed and such. While the 360 will have Halo3, Fable 2, and Gears of war 2. So please help ,me figure this out, im ready for some true Next Gen

Go with the PS3 i had 2 360's and the first one had 3 red damn lights and the 2nd was the elite so i traded in the elite in with games and got the ps3 instead no heat issues and no red lights plus for with the 360 it will take 4-6 weeks to get it back.

Blu-ray is the top of the line DVD in my opinion. I would go to your local electronics professional and ask them the differance between HD DVD and blu-ray. What I found out is that the blu-ray has a greater more clear picture than HD DVD. Most places like Circuit City or Best Buy will have a floor model HD and blu-ray system set up so you can compare them together.
Another thing to think about when compareing the two, for 499 you can get the the PS3 with Blu-ray. To get the Xbox 360 elite you pay 479 and then also have to turn around for another 199 to get the HD DVD player. The HDMI cable does come with the Elite but for the difference in price you can go to wal-mart and get a cable for around 35 bucks. And this cable is the Sony PS3 cable.
I hope this is helpful as I was once a 360 fan until I had a chance to play a PS3 and I am sold.
One more thing. The PS3 games are still not to the full potential of the system so the graphics will only improve.
Alot of jibber but I hope it helps.

I understand that the system isnt used to its ful potential...yet. I have only played 2 games for it anyway: resistance fall of man and motor storm, when motorstorm hit my eyes at that target electronic center, i was sollllld. As far as capacity goes what holds more Blueray or HDdvd?

I am almost certain that it is blu-ray with its capacity of a 50gig CD. I really havent been that far into my research, but I am possitive this is the Blu-rays. But I am sure that it will increase just like the DVD did.
