PS3 won't load disc, replaced laser.

    I put a new laser in my 40 gig PS3. Now the game will not load a disc. I trippled checked that all connections are plugged in properly. It seems the drive is not powered up. Any ideas?

    does the disc actually go into the slot if forced ?

    you could have broken the disc sensor wires, very easy to do as they are very thin or something in the drive is not aligned properly, stopping the mechanism from working

    Hi there. Is the same problem with the old head? If yes, the problem maybe in ic BD7956FS
