I'm getting a Japanese 2.0 ceramic white PSP directly from Japan. It's coming straight from the country itself , NOT from China/HK/Taiwan/*insert any other Asian country besides Japan*. As for the series, you know how the US PSPs are 1001-series? Well this one is a 1000 series model, and 1000 is Japan's region.

But I'm kinda scared now after reading that the Taiwan 1007 models don't work with the MPH 2.0 -> 1.5 downgrade because that's the only reason why I'm getting this PSP is to downgrade it (I'm never going upgrade past 1.5!). I've only read a few people mention they were able to downgrade their Japanese 2.0 PSPs...but can someone please verify for me that it will work on Japanese 1000 models (preferably with the ceramic white models) or not? Ceramic whites only started coming out on 2.0 as far as I know so the only way for anyone to ever have a white 1.5 PSP is by downgrading it from its virgin 2.0 status.

Now here's pictures of what I'm really getting, could someone tell me if this will be downgradable or not judging from the box and all the info I have given: (It's a *Japan* Ceramic White PSP Value Pack PSP-1000 KCW just to be as specific as possible.)

I am 100% sure it's a 2.00 because of the "F" on the box, so that's not my concern (I've also got it confirmed from where I'm buying it from that it's a 2.0 FW-running PSP). My concern is whether or not Japanese-region 1000 series (specifically Ceramic White) will be able to downgrade to 1.5 using MPH... If anyone has any info on this please let me know... Like I said, I've read many forums and read that many people were able to "downgrade white psps," but they weren't specific with their region and everything else so I need some assurance. And then I read people say they were able to downgrade their "Japanese 2.0" PSPs, but there was no mention if they were downgrading white or black PSPs (I don't think it makes a difference but I'd like 100% assurance on that).

My main gripe is..this is the first time I've read anywhere that certain region PSPs won't downgrade even if they're 2.0 (like the 1007 Taiwan ones) so I'm just trying to be on the safe side here. White PSPs are also released in Asia, outside of Japan, so it is possible to have different regions of "white psps," (like "Asian" white PSPS, which are different from "Japan" white PSPs) but mine is going to be 1000-series Japan region so if someone can clarify this for me, that would be perfect. Right now I'm about 80/20 thinking I should be good to downgrade, and looking just for one last confirmation before I try this. Thanks for your time reading all this.

I was thinking about just trimming it down a bit but figured more info is better just so I don't have to have someone ask for clarification (which happens when people ask questions). But yeah, I didn't MEAN to write a freaking essay but I had to just to make sure I am 100% clear. Anyway looks like it should work for white since it works for black, but would be nice if I can get a confirmation on that white specifically.

When the MPH downgrader came out I remeber it saying that it worked all mostly all PSP's including NTSC(JAP and USA) and PAL(EUROPE)

That was before they got their hands on the 1007
There is NO way to downgrade it.
