    Alright,

If you have custom frimware install go into the recovery menue and format and reset your flash1. this should fix your probelm.

    To get to recovery:

    -Turn off the PSP
-turn is back on while holding the R button
    -scroll down to Advanced
-than scroll down to Format Flash1 and reset settings

Yes it's ok just reset flash1 using that way or go to System Settings and select Reset/Restore Default Settings.

Have you tried turning on your psp WITHOUT PRESSING any buttons? That should get you to XMB (aka Main Menu/Cross Media Bar).

Format the memory stick with another PSP (if it recognizes it) and try again on your PSP. Note that it will delete ALL your data including Gamesaves.

It's most likely your firmware or PSP most likely of the two: your PSP.
