Incase you haven't heard, you can now have custom themes without flashing! They work in the same way as PTF themes. You will need to download the plugin, which can be found here:

    http://customizepsp.co.uk/forums/index.php?automodule=downloads&req=idx&cmd=viewdetail&f_id=72

    Instructions
Then download themes from here, and place in PSP>Theme

    http://customizepsp.co.uk/forums/index.php?automodule=downloads&cmd=viewcat&cat_id=2

Credits to poison and matchhung for the plugin!

I would suggest updating to 3.90m33 then you can use CXMB and install themes without flashing by this method.

it's easy, make sure that your psp version is already on custom firmware
eg. 3.52 M33 and go to dark-alex website and download the latest firmware then follow the instruction on the readme file..

I'm currently on 3.90 M33-2 and followed the instructions to the letter for the Lite installation, but I get nadda. When I go to Themes in the XMB I can still only install .ptf files just like I did before. Nothing looks or acts any different.

    Suggestions?

Extract the lite one to the root of your psp. Then go into full and copy the vsh.txt from there paste into seplugins and then it should look like this in your MS:

    |-cxmb/|-cxmb.prx

    |-seplugins/|-vsh.txt

    |-PSP/|-THEME/ whatever theme .ctf yoz want

This doesn't seem to work for me either. I've followed the guide exactly and still my themes do not show up in the Themes menu. Anybody got any ideas?

EDIT: I got this to work finally. I think people are going wrong because of the filenames of the folders for cxmb. Looking at the vsh.txt, the folder directories are cxmb/cxmb.prx, whereas when I copied the folder to my memory stick, the folder name was CXMB_LITE.

Basically, go into the folder called CXMB_LITE and "cut" the folder called "cxmb". Paste the "cxmb" folder to the root of your memory stick and delete the old "CXMB_LITE" folder.

Then you need to make sure the line of text in the seplugins folder is correct. Double click on vsh.txt in the seplugins folder. If you do not have this text file, create a text file using notepad and name it "vsh" - without the quotes. In the text file type the following: "ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx" - without the quotes. Save the text file and exit.

Now go into PSP>Themes and paste all CTF files there. When you restart your PSP go into the recovery menu and enable the CXMB plugin and make sure all other plugins are disabled. Now start your PSP, go into your themes settings, click on themes and select your CTF themes :)
