Hi all! Just need a little help if someone can. Ok, here is the problem: I can get most ISO games to work fine with .8c. It's when the file is a .rar file I can't get it working (unless I find a solid ISO within the rar file).

Sometimes when I open the rar file, there are a ton of different zip files or just plain looking files, like Harry Potter PSP or Pinball. What am I supposed to do with those files in order to get them to work? Basically, if I can't find a .ISO, I can't get it working. I'm sure there is an easy answer to this. Thanks in advance! :)

    @glynnr:
You put the folders Fastloader, and Fastloader% into PSP/GAME.
Could you also give the site where you downloaded your Fastloader because it is strange that they tell you to put it in the Root?

It mentioned the ROOT folder a few places but i might of misinterpreted have a look at http://www.psp-tutorials.tk/
because my PSP folders were quite different to how it's shown on here,
I couldn't get mine to work though because the eboot.pbp folders were missing so I'm all sorted now

for those of you that are having problems with the root folder it is the first one that opens. For example. If you go to “my computer” and open up the drive that is your memory stick or your psp then you are in the “root folder”

PNDING – If you get the file as a RAR (1 file) then you need “winrar”. Right click on the file you downloaded or got from somewhere and click extract to (name of the file).
After you do that you should then have a folder with the same name as the file you originally had. Open the folder. Now if you see a iso file then you are done. If you see a lot of files then this is what you do. You will probably see that the extensions end in numbers. For example 00, 01, 02 , 03, etc…..You should be able to right click on the first file (it should be the one with 00 and not a folder) and either click on “extract” or if you don’t see that then click on “open with”. If you are able to extract it then you should end up with the iso. If you click on open with then select “winrar” and then extract it to a location of your choice. Then you should have the iso.

let me know if this helps

@artemusXi...here's the guide you asked for:
To make your firmware 1.50 from a 1.51 or 1.52 firmware you will need to manually update your psp to 2.0 firmware(DO NOT USE THE AUTO UPDATE AS YOU WILL GET A 2.60 FIRMWARE THAT IS NOT DOWNGRADEABLE!!!)

to manually update your psp to 2.0 status:
Create a folder named "UPDATE" in the PSP\GAME directory...place the 2.0 eboot file into that folder(the UPDATE folder)..then back out of USB mode and then go to the memory stick icon on your psp and run the update folder...(WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PSP IS FULLY CHARGED AND PLUGGED INTO THE AC ADAPTER WHEN UPDATING AND DOWNGRADING!!!)

    to downgrade once updated:
Steps to use the MPH downgrader: - Create an UPDATE folder in the /PSP/GAME/ folder of your memory stick - Copy EBOOT.PBP (update 1.50) in /PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder - Unpack MPHDowngrader.zip
    - Copy overflow.tif in your /PSP/PHOTO/ folder of your memory stick - Copy h.bin to root of your memory stick (meaning in ms0:/) - Copy index.dat in root of your memory stick (meaning in ms0:/ as well) - Plug the AC adaptor You memory stick filesystem should look like this (where X is your memory sticks directory): X:/h.bin X:/index.dat X:/PSP/PHOTO/overflow.tif (with no other pictures in there) X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP (the 1.50 Firmware update eboot) What you do next is go into the Photo Menu on the PSP and it will show some jumbled text, which is normal. Wait about 30 seconds and then restart your PSP. From there you will now have a new file in your PSP’s root
directory called ms0:/index.dat.bak. In the next step you will go to your Game Menu, Then Memory Stick, and then Launch “PSP Update ver 1.50.” It will then ask you if you really want to downgrade and then lead you along to the actual installing. Here is where I got scared. It installed to 99% then errored. This is OK. Restart your PSP and turn it back on. It will come up with another error which is OK as well. Restart it again and you will have PSP firmware version 1.50, and it will lead you through setting up language and time etc.
You can grab the MPH downgrader and 2.0 firmware Eboot file from the link in my sig...

by the way you didn't get your name from a Drizzt book did you?

Just put the rar file into the PSP cos it is a ISO. Most ISO files show as RAR files so if u just put the ISO into the PSP is should work!

theres always a corrupted data with homebrew so you need to keep it there so you will have to put the eboot in again.

Hi does anyone know another site where i can download iso's from?
I've already tried www.pspearth.com and www.sneakerkreeper.com but they don't seem to work. The page of www.pspearth.com goes blanc and at www.sneakerkreeper.com all the links are broken.
Does anyone know a decent site?

    Thanx!

Not sure whether i have done it correctly..

I have fastloader 0.7 on my psp and when i pressed it, it does show the 2 games i put into my ISO folder (Lumines and Gundam Battle Tactics).

After that when i clicked it, it says "Please Insert any UMD!""

What could the possible problem be ? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks In Advance! =D
