PSP FASTLOADER AND ISO

i have the umd emulator but i noticed that the config.dat file is missing! anyone got that that would like to share it i think thats why i cant get this thing to work?

 

Dumped a UMD perfect Coded Arms it was. Am just experiemnting now but dont know how to STITCH the split files together please help

 

I dont know what the UMD_DATA.BIN and PSP_GAME files are... can anyone tell me what files they are and wer they are????

 

@bang42...burnout will work for unless you have the new european version of the psp...all of the psps are region free except the european versions

@1piecefan...(great show)....do you have a umd in the psp, when trying to load up the iso?..on the vcdromx program...the psp_game folder and the umd_data.bin file are what you drag into the right side of the vcdromx program...you don't drag the PSP\game folder off of your psp into it...only the PSP_GAME Folder and UMD_DATA.BIN file(if you get the game in this form) will go into the right handed screen on VcdromX....usually though you won't get too many games that are in this way, they are usually in ISO format...the PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.bin files\folders are really just the EXTRACTED ISO file...thoses files and folders make up the ISO file...and with VcdromX you are just reversing the Extraction and joining them back together...if you already have the game in ISO format DO NOT EXTRACT it anymore...

download it and once you extract it...look for an icon called "VcdromX"...(I'm going to use Fifa as an example in this guide) open this file up and a window will pop up on the screen type in "C:\Fifa" and make sure that the "FCD" button is checked...now click the left "??" on the bottom..now go to the folder where you have the "PSP_GAME" and "UMD_DATA.BIN" files\folders and DRAG them over to the right side of the "VcdromX" window...once this is done go to the top left corner and look for a box marked "??F", click on this and then go down to where it says "????(B)" click on this..a window will pop up click "OK"...this will start to convert this file to an ".FCD" file...

@blocparty...do you have the Fastloader and Fastloader% folders in the PSP\GAME directory...and the ISO folder on the root Directory(the root directory is the first window that pops up..don't put the ISO folder in the PSP folder...just next to it...) and do you have an ISO file in the ISO folder...it seems you don't have one of those folders in the right place...

@babolat...you can use WAB Version changer, it will trick all of the new games into thinking that it has the updated firmware for you to play newer games...

envflow i really appriciate the help but i got one last question and i know u are probly tired of me but i did what u said and shouldnt the iso looke like a page with a cd on it? instead it has books like a winrar file but it says its an iso? please set me str8

 

ok i got the umd_data.bin file, it was in the save data folder(tell me if that isnt the one), but wer is the psp_game folder? i cant find it anywhere?and sory if im being annoying wiht all these questions im a new to this, and im still trying to figure this out and everything.

 

you can google it or get from the link in my sig...once you get it downloaded and extracted to your desktop take the two folders "WabversionchangerV2" and "WabversionchangerV2%" and place them in the psp\game directory and then run it on your psp and select the firmware you want to put it on...NOTE: this doesn't actually change your firmware...just makes your psp think it has...you can still play homebrew and load ISO's up with this on...

my iso's worked before i tried ridge racers,metal gear,and dynasty warriors and they all worked fine but today i try to boot my metal gear iso and when i click it it takes me back to my psp menu and a message comes up "The disc could not be read."??? wtf i tought it was dirty or something but when i rs my psp and try playing it it works fine ??? please help (my aim and email is down at my sig) ty

@bang42...sometimes they will have the books instead of the cd icon...right click on it and select "Properties" and look under file type...if it is in ISO format..you're fine to go..just put it in the ISO folder and play it...

@1piecefan...hey you only get the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.BIN file, when you extract an ISO file down to it's very roots(the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.BIN file)...you really only want to extract down to these files\folders when you are wanting to run a RIPKIT on it...if you have the ISO file already don't worry about extracting it anymore...just let me know what you are wanting to do and what you have...

@GeoStigma...so are they working now? or do they still not work?...that code only really applies if a folder is in the wrong place or a umd(game) wasn't inserted into the drive when starting to load the ISO up..

 

has ne1 downgraded their psp and it works fine? cos i dnt wanna jst break my psp incase it goes rong. i aint loaded to jst go out and buy another 1

k how did u downgrade it? i think u have to download the games in ISO format and u also have to have fastloader on ure mem stick dunno how to make that work yet tho

 

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/237957 go to that forum it tells you how do it and i downloaded the files from http://pspupdates.qj.net/ basically when you download the downgrader from the website i gave you put the Files Index and H in the root of the psp which is the first window that appears when you click on your psp from my computer and then put the picture Overflow in the photo folder in ur psp making sure there is no other pictures then in the Game folder you need to make another folder Called UPDATE in captials and download the 1.50 update which you can get from the website i gave you. then just on your psp making sure the battery power is more then 75% and keep it in the charger and then go 2 photo and press O or x whatever button is to continue and then a black screen should come with numbers and letters just leave your psp for 1 minute then keep your hand on the off button for a while and it will off then on it again go 2 system settings and it should be VERSION 1.0 then go to game sectiona nd then memory stick and the update should be there the just run it normally and at 99% it will say an error then off ur psp and on it again then it will say alot and then another error will come js press O and then WOHOO you have version 1.50

the guide at the beginning of this thread tells you how to use fastloader.. the`fastloder should say please take out the umd. but foor me it says please insert any umd...but i dont know what files to drag in the right column of the vcdromx.. thats wat i need help on.
