PSP freezes then slows down really badly

i turned my psp on yesterday and it froze for a few seconds and then was working,
but afetr the freeze it became incredibly slow and when i try to connect it to my pc the only drive i get on my pc is removable disc and it is empty when i know for a fatc it is the psp,

i have ahd it for months and now whenever i switch it on after about 3 secodnds it freezes for 1 second then slows down really badly.

i have the 3.71 m33 software on it

any clue whats wrong?

 

try a different battery/try powering it only with the charger.....

no,
havent bene in advanced configurations for ages

 

i checked the cpu settings and one was default and one was 20,

set them both to default and seems to be fixed now

 

a low clockspeed would obviously cause crashing and such, glade we found the cancer
