I was wondering if anyone knew if bumping up the psp's processor speed to 333mhz would possibly damage the system at all or cause it to overheat or anything. Also I wanted to know how to get to the menu where I can adjust the speed of the processor and the fram skip. Another thing I wanted to know was how to run the gba emulator VBA for psp, i'm able to get the emulator on my psp but not able to get the roms to work on the emulator.
first the orginal processing speed for the psp was 333mhz, however it at up battery life quick, so they capped it down to 222mhz, until they could get a better battery, you can unlock the cap using emulators, and i believe there is a new uncapping program that even uncaps it for every game, you will have to check out a psp hack site for that, second the gba emulator, what firmwire do you have, and what does the readme text with that emu say? Next, make sure there is two folder inside the game folder, the first one, and then the second which has a % in it, put the roms in side the one without the %
sorry, forgot to say the conclusion of the uncapping wont hurt your psp at all, only eat up battery life faster and wirte back your results
I have a 1.50 firmware PSP and can run emulators fine with kxploit. The only emulator giving me problems is the GBA one. When i download the emulator from a site and use Winrar to open it I extract them to my documents. After that i use Kxpoit to get the boot.pbp file that i extracted and then put it on my psp. The main thing i'm getting confused about is that people are just telling me to rename my roms to ''rom.gba'' but I don't know how.
Ok well first of all dont QUADRUPLE POST its against the rules to double post lets alone QUADURPLE but any way you connect your psp to your comp and go go into your memory card you look for the game and than you right click on it than select RENAME than put wat you plz
thanks for the help but i wasnt QUADROUPLE posting because if you look at the dates that i posted the replies they are days apart.
