PSP Upgrade/Downgrade Method. (Works!)

Ok. We are getting a website soon.

We already have homebrew working on the 2.00 PSP, but it is currently not possible to release. After you run the same software twice, the PSP blacklists it, and you must use something else. The PSP will also realise what its doing after 10 minutes of gameplay and crash back to the main menu. As for the downgrader, its current state is WORKING! But the is also a 60% chance that it will brick your PSP, so it has only had a test run on one PSP so far, which it has properly downgraded from 2.00 too 1.52. There is currently no fixed date for it's release.

what about a version changer for the 2.00 psp? the downgrade is possible then and all other stuff too....
maybe we can inject the data.psp file of the wab version changer in the 2.00 update?

Does anyone knows currently, which files on the chip are modiefied on the psp chip and what in the file? maybe i get to know some technicians with a smd-chip writer ;-)

 

A 2.00 version changer is currently working, but can only make the PSP think its a 1.50, it also still can't run homebrew

If you have written the 2.0 version changer: for what technical reason isn't a transformation to 1.0 possible?

 

We have not written one. We are using an existing one. 1.00 is not possible because the homebrew currently shuts down after 10 mins.

 

troy will the version changer you are working on change 1.52 to 1.5??? also what time frame are we looking at for a release??

 

I am sorry but we [bold]CANNOT[/bold] give you a time-frame. We will need to work on this in our OWN time. The reason i did not post videos etc.. is because when you give out news like this everyone wants you to do it faster than you can, people also start to push you to get it done faster.

But you should also know, that when we have finished, and released this, that it WILL BE PLASTERED ALL OVER THE NET! So don't think you'll miss it .

 

Sorry for my (maybe) stupid question. You said you need two memory stick. Is it possible to use only one ms changing the files it contains using my pc card-reader before the "swap action"?

So Troy, how close are you exactly at this point concerning the downgrader??

I think its easier to downgrade than to crack 2.00 and besides, I've always dreamed of a 1.00 psp.
Homebrew would be easy to run and someone else could make a web browser.

hey i have made a hack to get past the security and get to the menu that say 1.50 firmware upgrade but when i press start it say a newer firmware is detected
