    I meant 24\4 not 244 ;)

OK so i just got a new motherboard and it has a 24pin plug rather than the older 20pin and i also noticed that the 4pin plug had a cap on it and when i take it off it becomes a 8pin plug, i just ordered a 24\8pin PSU but am not sure about connecting it do i connect it as 24\8 rather than 24\4, i mean is there any difference in connecting it as a 24\8 and not a 24\4, sorry am a bit slow on the new connectors as am used to the older 20\4 pin plugs.

The PSU am getting has a 24\8 connector, so it will be alright just to connect it as 24\8?
