Hello does anyone knows where I can purchase a ball gril array chip (BGA)? Usually the onboad graphic chip in laptops.

    Cheers!

That all depends on what chip you want. There are a lot of systems recyclers that have stacks of crates of used BGA chips...they usually sell in bulk (just like the chip makers), but you might be able to get them to send you one as a "sample".

Just in case you don't know...BGA is not a socket, and it is not going to be easy to change such a chip without damaging the circuit board or the new chip. Installing a used chip will be even harder. BTW...many laptops have the graphics and the "chipset" all in a single chip; if you just want graphics, then make sure to get a dedicated graphics chip.

Yea thanks. I'll be using a BGA Reflow Station to get the job done.
