Which software(s)do you need inorder to rip and burn "Babel" & "The Pursuit of Happiness"? I keep getting an error when i use dvdclone, dvdfab,or shink. AnyDVD and DVD43 does seem to help either

Babel has nothing special on it - Shrink can handle that one by itself.

Now for Pursuit of Happyness - AnyDVD & CloneDVD or DVDFab should handle it with no problem.

What error are you getting on these? DVDFab and AnyDVD up to date?.

Since you have AnyDVD, DVDFab - I'd dump DVD43 hasn't been updated in awhile I think and doesn't always play nice w/ AnyDVD or DVDFab.

Binkie is right. You don't need to mess around with DVD43. Sometimes DVD43 doesn't even play well by itself. ;)

Since you already use Shrink and are familiar with it, here's a software pack that should help it do all the releases so far. Just click Here , read the short install guide first.

OK!! I tried your advice but the error I'm still getting is: File 1 E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB 23 TCSectorReader. I get this error for "Pursuit" & "Babel". I can't figure if it's the software or my computer which is run by Vista.

Okay. I'm still forgetting to factor in Vista when discussing backups. It's a curse, at least for now.
First take a look at the DVD to make sure it's clean and polished and doesn't have any fingerprints or smudges on the playing surface. I've heard the TCsectorReader error is similar to the Cyclic Redundancy error in XP. Sometimes a bad press can cause the problem. A read test scan will show if there are any bad sectors.

Next check to see if it may be the software causing the problem. By using another program you can see if it's a system problem or just one with a particular software. DVDIdle's DVDFab Platinum is supposed to be Vista ready. Try the trial from http://www.dvdidle.com and see if that works. It's an all in one program, so you shoudn't need anything extra with it. If that works it means there was a conflict between your current software and Vista. Not all software that works in XP will work properly in Vista, especially backup software where DRM is concerned.

    Hope that helps. Good luck.
