Hi, can anybody help me... I have two episodes of a program that I have converted from .avi files to Dvd. I now need to burn them both on the same Dvd. However, because they are both in folders named Video_TS and the files inside are named the same in each folder, it won't let me put them on the same Dvd... Has anybody any idea how I can do it.. is it possible to rename the files? Is there a special program that will do it? Help!!!
    Thanks in advance..

    1) Copy both video_ts folders onto the hardisk under separate folders (e.g. movie1, movie2).

    2) Run Shrink, choose 'reauthor', then add the various 'titles' under each movie to the compilation window, adjust 'compression settings' if necessary, then burn with e.g. Nero.

    Happy dvd authoring!

Thanks to both of you. I will try both ways to see which is the easiest.

DVD Shrink has definitely worked well for me in a similar merging application -- combining video (without editing content) from three mini DVD-RWs from my camcorder onto a single large DVD-R.

I have 2 avi files, the same film at 480x576 ? can i do the same thing with vso freebe, eg put the two avi files into vso and convert the two to vob and burn with nero burning rom. ? or is it easyer to convert one avi at a time and do it with shrink.
Just asking as this is the first time at doing this as i can only get the movie in 2 parts.

Cheers for any help on this

    Regard's

Yes, you can add more than one files to vso before converting to dvd compliant format. If the ouputs are over the capacity of a regular dvd, then you can use Shrink or Nero Recode to compress before burning. 10-20% compression would not affect quality in a significant manner.

M8 did the 2 avi files at the same time with vso that part went well,
only the finished ts_ folder comes up when trying to play in power dvd 5 comes up saying at the start power dvd has caused an error in the unknown but the film is playing ok from the start under the windows pop up and when i hit the x to get rid of it it stops power dvd form playing and shuts down.
Nero will burn the files ok, only when burnt to dvd+rw it only plays the end of the film in file formatt in powerdvd.
This is what i have in the video ts_folder 10 files =
    ts_bup
    ts_ifo
    vts_01_0.bup
    vts_01_0.ifo
    vts_02_0.bup
    vts_01_1
    vts_01_2
    vts_02_0.ifo
    vts_02_1
    vts_02_2
? is this right as it looks as somert is rong to me.

Cheers for your help on this.

You've been double posting. The Mods would not like this. Please just refer to my reply in another thread.
