I need to put a password on my downloads folder. I can't hide it because then my programs won't download to it. I don't need it encrypted or zipped or anything. I just want a password on the folder. Is there any way to do this?

i don't think there is mate becuase i wanted to do that but you can't on xp. you can hide all your files and folders from other uses on your computer but thats about it or just encrept the files in your download folder. you might also want a program that keeps alll yuor personal data . you have to enter a password to open that folder to get at your personal stuff. i can't remeba the name but its on a thread heere on afterdawn...ill get back at you if i can rememba it

I've seen that, but for some reason I can't check that box. It's greyed out.
