I have a box pvr which I got new 2 days ago but i'm having a problem with finding channels. I have upgraded the firmware (4.506) and set the cas to auto update but when I search I have 0 programs found. On manual scan it shows 0% LNB & Conn. 0% Signal Quality. I am plugged into cable input 1 and tv out to the tv(also tried ant in). I have tried without the splitter and it made no differance. I am on vermin and my analouge box still works. Hope somebody can hlep me. Thanks.
Hi Where are you located, UK or Ireland. Are you Cable from the street or rooftop aerial? Are you sure you have a live cable connection at your location and have you had cable TV pictures from it with anything before, you say analog. What do you get on the analog box. The S/V PVR may not be suitable for your connection. May be sc0user will come in on this one to help out if need be. Just noticed something in your post, are you sure it says 0% LNB & Con, looks like you have a Satellite box. jbvid
Thanks for you fast reply. I live in uk and the cable is from the street. With the old analouge box I can get sky sports 1 and 2 + mtv ect. How would I tell if this is a cable or satellite box as I have never seen the boxes before and i'm a newbie to this.
Hi All I can say is that I have never seen 0% LNB Conn come up before when trying to do a Cable scan. LNB is the block on a Satellite dish that picks up Satellite signals. Can you not ask your PVR supplier what the PVR was working on? Have a good read through the link below and make sure you are setting up to do a scan for your correct local provider in the menu, ie NTL, TeleWest, C&W etc. Update Should be ok then just choose the correct provider and do a scan.
