Can anyone help me Ive done everything possible on this thread but still no joy. Im looking to do a channel dump to pvr loader from my pvr but it keeps coming up as "flash update fail". Im using usb-null modem, dont think this is the problem as I asked the guy in maplins n he said it works with all starview boxes. I have set the com port and the baud rate but still nothing. Any help??? Thanks in advance

    Hi
First of all you don't use a loader you use SVCE_1044, its in the Starview PVR folder in the link below called SV Channel Edit.
Then you need to use the SV's menu system and make a backup of your channel list, it will have reference to the date and end with a .dat extension.
You then need to make a PVR USB to PC connection and bring up your SV's hard drive folders on the PC.
Then you can start SVCE, locate and load the ??.dat file into it and edit as required, then save back on to the same folder where it came from.
Disconnect USB, start SV and use the SV menu system to reload the modified ??.dat file back in.
Personally and as it only need doing once I edit the channels how I want them using the SV menu system then make a backup to the SV's hard drive using the menu system in case I ever need it again after an F/W update. In SVCE set the (Files of Type) dropdown box to .dat
