A Few probs with my box , I want to see if anyone else is having the same or maybe mine is Knackered . I have read somewhere that the 10 second delay is normal (Don’t Know Why It Should be though) I have had my box set on timer EPG and its recorded several other channels that would not play back , I went to switch the box off and back on as it would not record nothing I pressed the record it says recording starting and NOTHING and the box would not turn back on , I had to Unpower the box and power it up again. It seems to record o.k. at the moment, If any one else is having these probs and maybe found a answer please let me know Thanks All
Hi Pause won't work from an EPG recording but will/should work from a remote control operated recording but make sure Timeshift is set to off in your menu system because i'm sure this works also from the pause button, and you may be going into timeshift mode. The failed recording problem is an ongoing saga awaiting new firmware but a way round it that works is to switch the Starview off then back on again then without doing anything else set your EPG recording then switch it straight back off. One final check is that you have v4.506 firmware installed you can find out which is intalled in your menu system. Sorry the 10 to 15 second pause is when i start recording till when it actually starts and the pause does not work even when i,m straight recording and not in EPG Thanks Again For Your Help
Sorry one last thing is that watching channels (Not Recording) It freezes every so often , This never happened with my max v box , I,m just trying to find out if this is all firmware problems or if i have a bad box or Hard drive , Thanks again for all advice it is appreciated
