Q for scouser

    hey scouser i have a genuine and a clone starview ive downloaded 2.57 for the clone and 4 for the genuine im going to town to get the correct cable and im going to try and tackle these things 2nite but im just want to know is there anything else i need and is it time consuming?

    Make sure you downloaded 2.57 eE Fixed for the clone. As this has the autoroll function fixed.

    Regards setting it up should only take a few minute on each box.
    Make sure you get a null modem cable similar to this:

    This is only for reference as they can be purchased much cheaper on fleabay. Also if you are using a laptop you may need a USB to serial port adapter as most new laptop do not have a D9 serial port, however most desktops do.

    Download the Starview PDF Guide, this can be found in the link marked Eamos FTA guide at the bottom of my post. This will give you a visual step by step guide on how to flash your boxes.

    Any problems just drop back.

    i did download 2.57eE fixed. i'll go into town and get that cable now i should'nt have any probs but if i do i'll b asking u a few more Qs l8r if thats ok with you? by the way TANX for all the advice is much appriciated!!!
