    Hello peoples,
I am new to this site but not a newb. I am currently installing the qoob pro chip on my gc and I have read other forums that seemed to have the same problem as me, but everything that I have tried hasn't worked. The problem is that my console turns on but nothing happens, there is no dash, no booting of any sort (regular or modded). I am certain that I soldered everything correctly, I have been going over it for days. I tried the electrical tape over the two points by the heatsink, and still nothing. Can some one please help me because I don't even get anything when the mod isn't connected anymore. Thanks in advance.

You might've damaged chips and components while soldering by allowing them to overheat. Considering the GameCube doesn't work while the chip is disconnected is what leads me to that conclusion. Either that or you have a unwanted solder bridge somewhere and haven't noticed.

I'm thinking you bridged something. For me, however, it was the tape between the heatsink and solder points that fixed it.
