Qoob Pro or Viper GC Extreme

    I want to know which is better of the two and has better ability to read DVD-Rs better and which is recommended.
    Please help me out thank u.

    Hardware wise, the ViperGC Extreme is better. It offers everything the Qoob Pro has with the addition of USB ripping. However, the BIOS doesn't support all it's hardware features, so the ViperGC Extreme's saving grace is the USB ripping.

    Personally, unless you plan on making tons of back-ups, I feel that the qoob Pro is better. The BIOS actually supports all the chips features and the video forcing works better than all others.

    The ability to read DVD-R depends on the GameCube, not the chip, and as such could be considered equal.

    All things considered, both chips are overkill unless you absolutely need onboard memory or USB ripping. If all you want to do is play back-ups, then you might want to take a look at the XenoGC and qoob SX instead.
