I have a couple of discs to burn with higher compression settings, and I wanted to enable a deep analysis. However, the two boxes in the 'Quality Settings' tab are grayed out. How can I enable them?

Usually the boxes are only greyed out when no compression is required. There is really no way to enable them if they are not on.
If you are reauthoring a DVD make sure you have the main title placed in the compilation window on the left before selecting the Backup! button.

I tried getting my Quality Settings to grey out and the only way I could do it is if the DVD size was reduced to the point of no compression.

If this seems to be a problem with the program, spend a few minutes and reinstall it.

I reinstalled the software and it works fine now. I suppose I can't complain when it is working, but I would be nice to know how to fix little quirks like that rather than have to resort to the unistall then reinstall song and dance.

    Thank for your help fasfrank.

    Your welcome.
It's a small program and only takes a few minutes to R&R. When odd problems occur this is usually the easiest way. The program is not being developed or supported so we have to either deal with it as it is or use something else.
