trying to watch on powerdvd9 and get the error: Error 80004003: Invalid pointer seems to be some kind of sql error? tried anydvd hd trial version to see if i can rip it then watch it and get the error: Drive d: is not ready hired quantum of solace and is due back soon wanted to watch it. any ideas on the errors/problems? is there a bluray ripper alternative to anydvd? dvdfab doesnt do bluray so wanted to know if there was another? cheers
I'm a newbie here, also, so I don't think it's my place to say too much. But you may want to be careful about how you word such questions: I think you will find you have transgressed Rule 5 of the "General Rules" about piracy, unless it is legal to rip movies you don't own where you live. If it is, do you have an extra room ;-)
my tv is in for repair and im unable to watch it on the crappy tv the repair man gave me. i have to watch it on my computer as i have no other way to view it. it wont play on powerdvd so im trying to copy it to the hd to view it. thats not illegal. im not keeping it, ive heard quantum of solace is sht anyways so yeh just wanting to view the movie! any help would be appreciated. cheers
Good point by the mod. Try another player. Also, when you first insert the BD into the drive, does it open a folder with the first sub-folder being 'Any!'? This is setting the programme to allow unencrypted playback of the digital streams without downsampling. Not sure if this is available in the trial pack: can't remember. Not sure why it would not rip as I don't think I had any issues with the trial version before purchasing. I assume drive D: is your BD drive? Are your settings in AnyDBDHD correct? Only thing I can of in this regard, is if you still have time on your trial period would be to download the latest version, uninstall the existing one & install the new. I would recommend the 6.5.2.9 beta as I had an issue with 6.5.2.8 version. I would set a system restore point prior to executing. Also, you could try a programme called DumpHD but I would doubt it could rip the latest BDs.
yeh cheers thats pretty much what i ended up doing. got the latset trial version again and have now ripped it. unfortunately it ripped it in spanish for some reason? cant work out the powerdvd option to change subtitles? is there one? reripping it after setting english as default language. hopefully this will get it to work...
I'm afraid the Movie studios like to set the default track to other than English. I've had German, & others in BD rips from my movies. You will have to remux with TXMuxer, or other, if you want playback with English :-(
wtf is that edited by ddp. edited by ddp retarded. and there is no option in powerdvd to change the default track to english? what edited by ddp software. why isnt there software like dvdshrink for bluray. that edited by ddp sucks i hired this edited by ddp movie and i am edited by ddp able to watch it
