I have a laptop that can output via S-video and I want to capture the video on my other pc. Can someone point me in the right direction for a capture card that will do this? I tried one by Pinnacle but it wouldnt work, then found out (by their techsupport) that it for sure wouldnt work.

I believe most cards are for analog capture... I'm pretty new to this. =)

    thanks in advance.

it is s video output. it can't capture. to capture you need an input s video. the ati all in wonder is kinda good. if you want the most simplest thing there is this dongle type of card made for notebooks that uses usb2.0. (can't remember its name)

    i'll check it out.

if you want to transfer video from your laptop to the other pc you don't have to capture it. you can network it or simply burn on cd.
