I am using DVDShrink to back up Spiderman 2, and I had a question about the audio streams...

I am doing movie only, but I see a bunch of audio streams, and I am wondering which I need for sure. I generally discard the 2-channel streams, and just keep the 5.1 stream. On Spiderman 2 though, there are two identical 5.1 streams, both like 433mb. I am wondering why there are two, and can I discard the second one? If so, I can get by with no compression.

Also, there is a 128mb English subpicture option, wondering if I need it. Is that just for subtitles?

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi Nihilist2,

I have the original Spider-man 2 movie but have backed it up for someone else. In regards to the identical file size for the 5.1-ch, is the second one in a different language ie: Italian? etc if so you only need one Ac3 5.1-ch English selected here.

The 2-ch is mainly for extra footage or behind the scences, so if you are only copying the movie you don't need the 2-ch selected.

Also, you don't need subpictures as there is no other language in the spider-man 2 movie.

    Hope this helps you.
