ok, i visited vcdhelp.com to read up on what my dvd player could do, well most people said that it could play VCD's on CD-RW's burned at 1x, that made me happy because i could never get one to play, but in nero it will only let me burn at 4x with a VCD, no more, no less. Any help would be great on how to burn it at 1x.

you should be able to produce a good vcd at 4x. The software nero is not your issue, it is your cd writer- it probably has a minimum speed of 4x. If it is a good cd writer than it will do fine at 4x.
