The first thing that I've been trying to do is get my music str8 on my XBOX. I'm using burnt media (of course) and I notice that I'm not getting any CD TEXT displayed. Even when I burn the media, the CD Text wont display in Media Player. I would like to keep my harddrive orginized and know which file I'm putting on my playlist without much hastle, but I need them to show up as songs on the CD before I rip them to the harddrive. I'm using a Memrex DVD Double-Layer Recorder in wich I'll get you the hardware numbers later, but the specs say that it can do CD Text. I'm not using the factory provided software (Nero Express) rather an upgrade (Nero 6). What should I do? I really dont want my tracks to be labled as Albums in my list.

Hey, I just came across your post here, sorry my response came nearly 2 months after you posted. I was having the exact same problem with my 360 too. I couldn't rip songs to the HDD with the CD-TEXT that may or may not have been burnt onto my music CD's. I've got some good news and some bad new.

The good news: while I was searching the internet, I came across some Xbox 360 info that releives us of our situation.

The bad news: that information concluded that the Xbox 360 does not support CD-TEXT, meaning that all our attempts were in vain simply because the 360 only supports CD-TEXT that comes from the originally manufactured music CD's (or any direct copies made from those CD's)

This means you can stop wasting CD-R's and give yourself a rest.
