I am lookin to buy an HDTV soon, preferably up to $800. I see there are a lot of different brand names out there and wasnt sure if there were any specific ones to stay away from, or maybe some to get. I definately want at least a 32". I saw vizio, olevia, and some others like that. I wasnt sure if they are worth it to get a bigger size and a cheaper price, or pay more for a smaller tv that is a better brand. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm getting the 47" Vizio this week from Sams for $1400, I think for the money you can't go wrong. They may lack a few features but there are more expensive brands that don't perform as well.

Ive got a 17" DMTECH in the bedroom and a 32" Toshiba in the lounge.
The picture processing capabilities & components of the Toshiba give a far better picture even though the display is much bigger and they both have built in tuners for UK freeview.
