hi i'm new here but i have been reading posts in this forum for a couple of weeks now and i see people talking about flahing etc. basically all i want to know is if this is nessecry and what are the advantages? i own a eurovox 2008 i bought it of my freinds dads freind and i think he done something to the box to make it better but anyway i done the scan got all the channels etc and it works fine the only problems being i cant get bbc 3 or 4 but thats it as far as i know any help would be appreciated. thanks
yes it is the max v 2008 box i did what you said and this what came up model: dvb - xc box tda s/w ver 1.0stc4 oct 15 2007 h/w ver 2.0t k5 bootstrap v00.2 s/w build kuro don't know what any of that stuff means but i hope its helped you answer my question thanks for your time
You have Kuro Beta 1 which should be fine, BTW BBC3 & 4 do not start broadcasting until after 7PM and try CBEEBIES after that time.
thanks scouser so does that mean my box is flashed then or is it fine as it is? it wont like cut off and stop working in a couple of months or anything if i don't flash(whatever that is) it often? btw i tried cbeebies and your right its on there thanks for that, the only problem tho is it shows service off air on the epg so i cant see whats on. the wierd thing is tho when i first tried this box out round my nans house which is only 3 quarters of a mile from mine bbc 3 and 4 shown up but not itv 3 and 4 but its the opisite at my house, must be the area or something. just one more question (sorry to be a pain in the arse) if there was a new channel coming out soo for example would i have to scan again to find it and would it mess up my channel order if i do? cuz it took me f***ing ages to get them in the order i wanted. again thanks alot for your help
whats the kuro UFL mate? sorry bout all the questions but i'm new to this stuff tnks again just to make 100% sure its definitely NOT essential to have your box flashed it? what i'm trying to say is i don't need these updates etc i can just carry on as i am right? as long as i got me cannels i wanna watch like sports etc i'm happy but i like to learn new things its half the fun with these things. i think i have spent more time messing about with it than i have actually watching tv though haha!
