What is the easiest method to get GCOS up and running on my SD card via SD Gecko? I would love to be able to play my backup games but don't want to spend $50 on SD media launcher!

    Here's what I have:

    -512MB SD card
    -SD Gecko
    -USB SD card adapter
    -GCOS v1.5
    -SDLOAD 1.0

I've read that I need an action replay to boot every time, but no one seems to be sure whether the newer versions currently for sale (v1.6+) will work. I've read they took out the ability to enter your own code, but you can change the "master code" somehow to get that functionality back?

I guess I'll also need a 2nd memory card. Will any old card work or does it have to be genuine nintendo?

    Thanks!

So you're saying I can use a burned copy of action replay to boot the cube?

My bad, I have a chipped cube (XenoGC) and this is my method to get GCOS working.

If you do not have the ability to run a burned AR copy, then the SD Media launcher is probably the best alternative. Either that or look out for a cheap original AR.

is there anywhere you can still get an action replay that will allow you to enter codes for SDLOAD?
