I have been using low end versions of software that was bundled with my pc, and my new DVD burner, and they have some great features. But for now, I just want to create a picture montage that has audio in the background, that I choose which part of the song I want and clip the rest etc. I got Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Basic DVD Edition that came with my DVD burner, but it only allows for full songs. I have been using Showbiz, and it has been one of the easiest formats in the area of use. But I don't think it has full capabilities of some of the other software. Do you have any suggestions of software under $150 that is the best that you guys have seen.

Also, I did include about a 30 second video clip that was from my DV camcorder, and about a 2 minute clip that I recorded from my VHS, to my camcorder and then to the computer. Both of the vid clips were grainy. Not nearly the same quality as when I playback my DV camcorder. The pics that I had scanned and put into the DVD were crystal clear. But not the video. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I can do to improve the video. Thanks for all your help, in advance.

I am trying out Ulead Video Studio 9.0 on a trial basis. So far, I have been pretty happy with it. Do you know if Nero would be better than this, or have the same capabilities. I only have 30 days to decide what software I want to use to start doing the picture montages as a side business. Any other thoughts on this? By the way, thanks for the response!!
