I am new to this forum and I need some help. For xmas I got the Sony CDX-MP40 car stereo. It can also playback MP3s.

My problem is this. Every time it goes to play an MP3, the song doesnt start until the track reaches the 25 or 30 second mark. The track clock ticks as normal but its silent until it reaches 25 or 30 seconds, then the song starts and plays great. I just dont understand why it takes so long for the song to kick in. I have tried many differnt methods of burning mp3s to a CD-R and it all ends up with the same result.

Has anyone stumbled on this problem with any other mp3 player? I use nero to burn my mp3s. Also, I can play the mp3s no problem off the CD-R when i use the MP3 player on my computer.

Any Help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Are you sure there isn't some sort of mp3s on-the-fly conversion of mp3s to CD audio involved? Basically if you burn only mp3 files then there sould be no problems. You might want to try some other burning program too.

No im sure that Im buring MP3s to the disc, and its not converting to WAV. I tried a number of differnt things last night. I burned 30 mp3 files to a disc via Music Match. I made sure that i made an MP3 disc and not an audio disc. Out of the 30 songs 16 played fine, the other 14 had the 30 second delay at the beginning. Could the problem be due to the mp3 file itself? or the player?

Also i burnt another disc with newer mp3s with Nero, again making sure its a data disc, and every track started 30 seconds in. its really frustrating.

But with music match some worked great and others didnt.

if the burning program works then i would put it down to the mp3's as sometimes you can get mp3's that will have a thew minutes of silence at the end of the song i am only guessing tho

I am having a problem with burning mp3's from Kazaa using nero 6 ultra. I used to just download them to my hard drive and then used the make an audio cd option in Nero and they burned with no problems???? Now, It seems like I'm having to convert the files to wave in order to get them to burn on my cd-r's??? The problem is that the first track plays fine but i've got a gap after the first track and then the rest of cd burns fine??? weird stuff...I think a change in media might help. Also, I upgraded Nero to version 6303 but rolled back to V.6302 thinking that it might of been the cause of all my problems...don't know what to do??? I need a little help guys...thanks
