How do I play n64 roms on xbox....is it the exact same rom files that work on project 64 that work on xbox (surreal 64) or do I have to download n64 roms specifically for the xbox?

If it is the exact same files as project 64, do I have to turn them into iso's or something before I transfer them to "the rom folder"?

Any n64 roms should work, you don't need to do anything to them (apart from maybe making the names shorter to transfer them..)

what folder did you put the n64 roms in? i made a roms folder in my surreal64 folder and it doesn't seem to work? and does it need to be zipped still? what is the advantage if any besides it being smaller?

Well I didn't know they were zipped for a start, but most of the ones I have just worked straight off so I didn't look at them.

In the surreal64 folder there should already be a folder called Roms
    That's where mine are..

    F:\Apps\Emulators\Surreal64\Roms

Case sensitive..Every xbox is different but I think surreal64 is always the same... :)

well, actually does it have to be in the f:/ folder? i have mine in e:/ because there is much more room. ive tried changing the surreal.ini file as well to locate the roms from there and it didn't work, then i tried change the surreal.ini file to locate the roms from a cd. but still no rom list in surreal...... im getting really tired and ive been trying to get this to work for about a week now, putting off homework, actual work and friends to get this damn thing to work.....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

No..as long as they are in the Surreal64 emulator folder they should be fine.. That just happens to be where mine are, I put the full path as an example that's all, just copied it off my xbox.. they work fine for me.

Oh yeah reading back...At the bottom right of the emulator main screen there is a button with a curved arrow on it...Press that and it will refresh the rom list.. :)

Aside from space issues; zipping has nothing to do with functionality. None of my roms are zipped.

Only issue I have is that many games are just too much for the weak little 700mhz w/64mb ram.
