Question about new external drive

    I made the mistake of not doing my research before I bought a electronic so I was wondering if one of you could give me some advice before i unwrap it. Its a Seagate 160gb external hard drive with 7200 RPM, 2MB cache, and 300 Gs nonoperating shock resistance. Any advice on rather to keep it or return it before its to late would be gracousely accepted.

    2mb cache is kinda old new ones come with 8mb at least how much did it cost u?
