OK so I just built this top of the line gaming pc (no water-cooling though). It has Vista 64 which I love. But anyways here are some of the specs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150310 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131196R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146047 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148262 And 4 Gb of super nice ram. The thing is, it really doesnt seem like it should be running as fast as it can. I even OC'ed the cpu to 3GHz, and it still runs Crysis at the highest settings at an average of 10 FPS, Which is not worth it because the ge-force 260. Which not much beats, was $450! I work at Curcuit City and they do something called optimizing with pc's and laptops. Which make them as fast as they can out of the box. All I know about it is they mess with the registry and a few other things which are beyond my understanding. So I have a couple questions: 1. Is there any kind of software that will speed up everyhitng? like how fast i open documents, games, Ect... If so what are your choices? 2. If there is NOT a program like that (the easy way of course), Is there a guide or some kind of documontation which would train me on how to optomize my 64 Vista? Thank you.
to boost pc performance you need a faster processor and more RAM... to tweak, optimize vista...you can d/l any of the shareware thats out there (Vista Manager, ect) or go http://vista-secrets.net/
mis-type. Is there somthing i can change in the registry to speed it up? and is there a program that can do this for me or help with it. Thank you
Some general tip for improving system performance. 1-Defragment your hard-drive regularly, using a free program like Defraggler, or Auslogics Disk Defrag 2-Clean up your registry using a program like Ccleaner. 3-Carry out a general system clean-up/optimization using a tune-up program like Advanced WindowsCare Personal 4-Make sure your graphics card drivers are the latest one available Hope this helps, should increase overall pc performance, and maybe even game performance
