I know they are now selling the wii at $200 and i would like to know if it is still softmoddable(might not be a word). Jst a quick yesy or no will sufice.
As long as it still has 4.1 firmware on it (which it should) then you should be able to get it modded. Just follow the softmod guide in my sig. Don't update to 4.2 firmware yet.
A friend of mine picked one up on Sunday, and we updated to 4.1u within an hour and his Wii was completely fine! so chances are you should be good with that too (though just double check your serials when picking one up to make sure it's not an LU39).... The only issue now is that Nintendo has the 4.2u update, and so you're going to have to jump a few hoops to update without hitting 4.2
well I've determined that the 4,2 update prevents homebrew channel so does the new wii's that are $200 have the 4.2 versions or is it 4,1
well, my friends came with 3.4 on his, and I have a feeling that alot out there still are the same, as long as they're old stock. you can use NUSD to make a wad update for 4.1 THOUGH I'm sure someone will come up with a new softmod for 4.2, I was just asked to update homebrew a few minutes ago, meaning they're already all on top of everything
Because 4.2 appeared on the 28th, it will take a couple of weeks to get the 4.2 out of the box, My guess it there's a lot of 4.1 or less Wii's out there. Hurry Up!
