    I was going to flash my buddy 360 to play wave 4 games with this activation disk. But then another buddy of mine said not to flash it because there is another firmware that was "suppose" to come this last weekend to ignore waves but i seen no word on it but i know nothing about this.

    so when is this firmware coming out and does it ignore waves now?

    Ixtreme LT (lite touch) is the new firmware, it's finished they're testing it now, no one knows when it will be released but it will be soon, and yes it ignores waves now :)

    EDIT:You can find more info on Ixtreme LT here http://twitter.com/TeamJungle

    All backups MUST have SplitVid also if you/him are going to play online.

    LeeRage - Seems though the new FW wont say "DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!" Is there anything in abgx360 that's going to do that for us? It needs to be a lot more thorough? A bit more GUI and interactive.

    XBOX Backup Creator will rip with SplitVid automatically. Schtrom 4.1 will rip automatically if you leave the drop down option to "whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0 SplitVid)".

    If your ISO does not have SplitVid, you can correct it with ABGX:

    It is also highly recommended to re-rip your games with a XBOX 360 DVD drive that has iX 1.6 0800 dedicated firmware to take advantage of SSv2.

    are you saying it's better to rip the game from the xbox dvd drive instead of a kreon drive?

    Yes, when you rip from a XBOX 360 DVD with iX 1.6 0800, you will get SSv2. This will take advantage of the multiple angles taken from the SS and will more than likely be needed in the future. Do this now and it will save you time in the future when SSv2 is a requirement.

    Personally, this is just my recommendation. Just trying to give everybody a heads up.

    A few questions;

    I know I will get a couple people bashing me for the 3rd question but if you don't ask, you won't learn.

    1.) For people still using Kreon Drives (myself), Is there a way to get the SSv2 angles on the discs or are we stuck with only emulating SSv1 angles?

    2.) Is anyone still creating/updating firmware for Kreons, so we can read SSv2 angles?
    (Because I would hate to have wasted 30 bucks on this DVD Drive, that is going to pretty much be rendered useless for backing up future releases.)

    3.) Is C4Eva and his team the only people working on firmware for Xbox360's drives? Why aren't other programmers stepping up and trying to create something?

    I would assume the firmware that is released is open source and able to be decrypted and studied, So whats stopping other programmers and or M$ from creating better/newer firmware or better/newer detection methods?
