Will i be able to still be able to use wifi if i play my games as backups using either of these 2 devices?
yes the main differences between the two are: Supercard plays GBA roms poorly, while M3 is 99% compatible with them as well Supercard DS roms load slower than roms on the M3. Sure, this depends on the speed of the card, but I'm talking about if you use the same card in each device M3 has a RealTimeClock for GBA games, while Supercard doesnt Other than that though.. there really isn't a difference as far as gameplay goes
yea i was leaning toward the m3 but my main concern is will i still be able to connect with other ds' to play multiplayer while playing my backups
you can play multi-card multiplayer (where each person either has a cartridge or ROM).. but you will not be able to play Download Play games where you are the host unless the receiving DS' are flashed
ok i purchased the m3 and pass3 for my ds lite...what would be the best recommended mini card thingy to get for it?
depends on the kind you got.. from what it sounds like you got the miniSD. I would recommend this: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202152401&loc=101&sp=1
yup. and since it comes with an SD adapter, if your camera uses SD cards instead you can use it as well
ok i just looked at my order status and it seems i order the m3 lite...does that still mean i need a mini sd cuz ive heard about having to use a micro sd?
so that would be the same MICRO sd as used with mobile phones? And have u received ur tracking number yet? i order my m3 lite from kicktrading and its had the status of being "processed" for 5 days now when they say they ship it within 24 hours
before I got my flashcart, I was going between the g6 lite and the supercard lite, or waiting for the m3 lite to come out. I was first tempted towards m3, but it was a bit more expensive, and it didn't really have much better extra features other then the fancy GUI. as I only have a supercard to test on, all I have to say is that all DS roms that I have played on my supercard lite using a stardard speed microsd sandisk brand card, have loaded in less than a second, and I've played all the games. It has played all the GBA games I put on it at full speed, which was like 3, because I don't really care for GBA games. And that realtime clock only affects games like Pokemon. As my very first flashcart, I am very very happy with my Supercard Lite, and am left wanting nothing more, other than more microsd cards. It's fast, it's simple, and it gets you playing games in seconds. Plus, supercard has better homebrew support. You may not thing that homebrew support matters that much, but trust me, there are a lot of great programs out that for your DS. In fact, one of the better ones out there, DSOrganize, is no longer officially supporting the m3/g6 brand of cards, as m3/g6 have refused to release the source code that enables programs to write to the memory. Get a SuperCard Lite.
^maduin, I agree with the homebrew support - supercard DEFINITELY has more support for it than M3 does, because Supercard releases its drivers to coders as a source So if GBA games aren't a priority for you, and homebrew is, I would also suggest getting a Supercard I think he has already bought an M3 Lite though
well. all of the homebrew ive tried on my M3 CF has worked without any problems, i have no complaints.
Thats because developers worked out how to use the drivers for the M3CF quickly as it's based on an IDE interface, thats why most homebrew could write to the CF version before the SD version. The SD version is alot harder to work with unless the M3 team release the drivers in source form. Is why i didn't sell my M3CF when I got my G6.
ok i bought the sandisk 1gb micro sd (because that's the only one the store had) but i heard some1 say that sandisc has problems with the m3...is that true?
