Question concerning svideo tv out from nvidia card

I am using a nvidia 6600Gt video card, I have svideo out to my tv, and I have the full screen video device set to be the tv. I watch a lot of anime on the tv, but between every video the screen sizes so that it is a bit bigger than the tv, and usually the subtitles are unviewable mostly. I keep having to click the resize control for the second screen once each file starts, and that gets quite annoying, so I am wondering if anyone has this problem, and maybe a fix, if in fact I even stated the problem clearly enough.
