I was just wondering if someone could answer a couple of general questions I have.. I can understand why the cable companies keep rolling the codes (annoyingly), but why is it that the original boxes and cards supplied by the company are ok, yet the programed cards and modified boxes aren't? I'm assuming that it's got something to do with the feedback being cut on the modified boxes, but would be good to know the full reason. Secondly.. is there any way of knowing when the rolling of the codes is going to happen in advance? The past few weeks it's really picked up, is it likely to be every day now?
some box's roll quicker, some in different areas are quicker again, its based on your CC to be honest. In dub, hippo's roll over quicker than the nthell pace box's. Quote. Secondly.. is there any way of knowing when the rolling of the codes is going to happen in advance? The past few weeks it's really picked up, is it likely to be every day now? your joking me! give them a ring and ask them, lol. They are doing it to p;ss the likes of Mr Starview user off and to stop you using your box, just update your box to the correct firmware and you wont have any more worries
Thanks for that. I was just wondering if someone 'in the know' knew when code rolls etc were likely to happen. Hopefully things will settle down again soon.
if you have the correct software, why would the key rolls bother you? they are done in a matter of mins.
I've only got a modified Pace box (ex-n*l) so have to program my card when the codes change. As far as I know, there is no way to change the software on them, is there?
