I have just today purchased a DS lite, and I have determined by reading around, that the m3/passcard3 combo seems to be best. However , I went to the guide where it tells you where to purchase the combo. First I went to the divinity or whichever site, and the total is 90$... then it tells me it wants 28$ shipping, so I move to the next one, the kicktrading, and it goes 99$.. but then apparentally tries to charge me twice for shipping.. I need a good reliable site to buy this from, and I do not want to be screwed on shipping. Thanks.

Also ,I noticed on the m3 web site, it says if you use the passkey2 and m3 with a ds lite, you will be able to change brightness, etc... so with the passcard 3 and the m3, are you not able to change brightness? or does the passcard3/m3 NOT change the defaults of the DS except when you boot the cards in there? Like, does the original DS OS remain unchanged?

Passcard3 is like an upgraded version of the Passkey2, as in it requires no game to be inserted to boot the flashcartridge in DS mode. You will be able to change brightness regardless of what you do, as long as you don't replace the firmware on your DS Lite with the wrong one. Don't worry, though, you don't HAVE to replace it if you don't want to - its just if you wanna toss that passcard3 out the window.

With the M3/PC3 bundle, the original DS OS remains unchanged.

unfortunately i haven't been able to get the cheats working on my system.. then again i had to put the cheats together myself (converted Action Replay codes).. so thats probably why lol. I've heard, though, that it works great.

As far as store recommendations, I always recommend http://www.getyourgameshere.com since I had a great experience with them and they answer e-mails within 12 hours or so, but unfortunately it looks like they are out of stock on the M3SD and M3miniSD.. just have some Passcard3's and SD card reader/writers in stock at this time. May want to contact them to see when they would be getting more in

In truth, I think Id rather go for the full SD version ,since I have 7 gigs in SD cards laying around, the smallest of which is a 1 gig sandisk... so I should have the cards already for that. But thanks for the recommendation :) I just say the sd part, in case theres any more recommendations and such.

SD would be a good choice, but if you have a DS Lite it actually sticks out a little more than a standard GBA game. If you're OK with that, i'd say go for it.. especially since you have a ton of SD cards lying around.. it'll put them to good use!

Well, i dont mind it sticking out... so thats not a prob, but yeah, I actually have 3 sd cards, and a canon s2 is camera.. but I have a 4 gig, a 2 gig, and my 1 gig... so the 1 gig is kinda the one least used lol... hmm... wait I kept thinking the opposite direction, meaning that a 1 gig card would be small in bits, i just realized something, since most of the dev kits are measured like at 4 gigabits... wouldnt that make a 1 gig sd card, to be quite a huge kit?

If i said something completely stupid, dont mind me, im half asleep

A 1GB SD card has twice the storage of most DS flash carts, which as you said are 4Gb (512MB)

You'll get alot of games on 1GB, I never did fill up my 1GB CF card with games I actively played on.

I use a 1GB miniSD card and I'm about 1/2 full.. i would probably be better off with the G6 Lite but oh well.. I like the fact that I can use the SD card in my camcorder as well :)
