I have an mpeg file and the audio has a lot of static. Is there a way to fix this problem? I have Win 98. Let me know if you need any other info. Thank you.

It's probably the Audio Codec that's messed up. However, since it's an mpeg file, you're probably using Windows Media Player right?

Well I've tried to play the movie in Windows Media Player, Divx player, Quicktime and Real player and it sounds the same in each one of them.

In that case, it's probably the actual audio that's messed up. So you really can't do anything about it except download a fixed version I guess.
